Privacy Policy

ABA Edge is an offline-first BCBA and RBT exam-preparation app. This policy explains the information the app handles and the choices available to you.

Information stored on your device

Your selected exam track, answers, confidence ratings, review queue, study history, checkpoints, settings, and free-use allowances are stored locally on your device. Local study data remains available without an account or network connection. Deleting the app can remove this local data and may reset local free-use allowances.

Optional account and cloud services

If you create an optional Pro account, Firebase Authentication processes your email address and authentication information. While Pro is active, Firebase may store your study state, account settings, service-usage records, and data needed to provide cross-device sync. Cloud records are isolated by authenticated user and are accessed through protected service functions.

Purchases

Apple or Google processes payment details. ABA Edge does not receive your full payment-card number. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts, product identifiers, entitlement status, expiration, refund, and restore information so the app can determine access across supported devices.

AI Tutor and score-report tools

When you choose to use a Pro AI feature, the content you submit and limited study context needed to answer it are sent through protected cloud functions to OpenAI. ABA Edge instructs the service not to store generated responses as application state and does not intentionally persist tutor content, but the provider may process service data under its own security and abuse-monitoring policies. Do not enter client names, protected health information, or other identifying clinical information.

Notifications and diagnostics

Study reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Service logs may record technical events, response status, timing, and usage counts needed for security, reliability, rate limits, and cost control; they are not intended to contain study prompts or client information.

Sharing and retention

ABA Edge does not sell personal information or serve behavioral advertising. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate authentication, cloud sync, purchases, and optional AI features, or when required by law. Cloud account data is retained while your account is active and is deleted when you complete in-app account deletion, subject to limited provider backups and legal or security obligations.

Your choices

You can use Core study features without a cloud account, restore eligible purchases, manage subscriptions through your device's store, export cloud account data, or delete your cloud account from the app. Reset Progress clears study progress as described in the app but does not cancel purchases or reset purchase history.

Children and exam-preparation scope

ABA Edge is intended for people preparing for professional credentialing exams and is not directed to children under 13. It is not a clinical-record system and should not be used to store client information.
